The majority are winter king salmon. The others are small halibut, one 17pounds, the other 22pounds, we catch trolling for the Kings. The rest are gray cod. The kings are all 20 pounds plus. We donāt keep anything smaller. We leave the small kings to grow and we donāt keep anything over 30 pounds on the Kings. They have a winter king derby up there and the biggest fish pays $50,000.00 so my buddy that owns the boat leaves all the big ones for the derby. Heās won it several times. Last year he got the 4th largest from the top and won $11,000.00 with it. They pay for 6 fish. My first trip up there I whacked a 35 pounder and threw him in the tote. I almost ended up in the drink over that oneš. That year the winning fish was 32 pounds and my buddy didnāt catch itš¬. Iām still hearing about that every fall. Lol.

Your grandson will remember that particular moment forever. My son is 50 now and he recalls fish he caught over the years that I can't remember. Then he get a pic [before cell phones] and I faintly remember. Good job young man!
