LMAO. Seriously, there needs to be a harsh penalty for gross breaking of the law. it is not only protecting the resource, but helping to insure our grandchildren have something to fish for. the problems I think the courts are too lenient now even letting prisoners out who have done some real serious stuff. Enough with a little slap on the wrist! It is time to do the right thing!

Glad to read that the fish were at least donated to a shelter rather than just disposed of..

Not expensive enough. Should also taken away their license for a period of years too.

"The men, who were not identified, face a penalty of $100 per fish, or potentially $12,800 for each angler, authorities said. Officials say the men were additionally charged with unsafe operation of a vessel, operating a power vessel without valid registration, and failing to have appropriate vessel safety gear."

I'm pretty sure taking away their fishing licenses won't be much of a deterrent for these two losers. They'd probably see it as a way to save money.

Dang common core math got em all screwed up. 1+1= 33x2=86-20=66. They just forgot to do the real math on this one. 1+1=2🤷‍♂️

Hey Egg, I see you’re from Rock Springs. Back in the early 80’s I lived and worked out of Kemmerer on lake Viva Naughton. Back when they had cabins and a small marina and store. Do you ever fish there?

Your welcome, I just don't understand how people can do this. I'm sure there are others out there.

Gotta start somewhere then if caught with fishing again with no license then eventually for life, then Prison time. What I have been saying is that the authorities need to take harsher remedies, For cripes sake, we on here all do our part to protect our resource and the authorities everywhere need to do their part. Lately we have GREAT FS members talking about picking up trash left by those people I know in some states that take it very serious, the rest need to get on board. Like I said before, it is all about protecting the resource for our kids, grandkids and ON!!!

It’s not so much “rules” as it is ethics for me. I don’t follow some of the rules either but I DO respect the fish and wildlife. Some states have rules that are impossible to follow unless you have a major in law. Oregon is one of those. Rules change there on a daily basis and unless you hire an attorney to ride along with you to keep up on the rule changes there it’s virtually impossible to follow the rules. Most game and fish cops there couldn’t tell you the current “rules” if they had to. I think that’s why they let their law enforcement just make up rules as they go along each day. Not even worth fishing or hunting there any more for me.
