5 Pigeons roosting underneath the roof of my boat dock

Could I please have some suggestions on how to get rid of these pigeons other than shooting them like doves. Shooting is difficult due to the small area under roof. By the time I get there they fly away. I can try to shoot them as they fly and exit the dock. Any other ideas?

Place a realistic fake owl up where they are roosting, 9 times out of 10 they will find somewhere else to roost.

I've heard the owl idea works.

You might try a stuffed owl I know the real stuffed ones are too expensive so find a toy one. Maybe a mechanical one. You might even try pictures of a owl. Other birds are scared of the owls. Some gardeners put fake owls out in their gardens to keep birds out of their gardens.

So there you go. All kinds of suggestions for you to try. Good luck.

I have a fake owl with movable head but have not placed it up in the rafters near the nest. Will do that next. Thanks everyone.

I tried the fake owls. After ABOUT a week the pigeons will have a new place to sit and crap in its head. I just either shoot em or poison them.

I used to have a garage with a very high ceiling, I put a life-sized plastic owl up on the lowest rafter and the birds didn't bother after that.

String a few strands of fishing line where they are flying in. Works

Fishing line sounds promising. Worked on geese to keep them off the dock.
