Here is the fish I have been catching lately here in Texas. I have been only taking pictures picture worthy fish. I'm trying not to post anything under 1 and 3/4

Don't think it's a morel Fly, morels look like a sponge but I wondered about it too.

No it is a cubensis. A hallucinogenic mushroom. I found a bunch of them. I left them alone. Those days are over!

Here in Texas. We are on lockdown order. One of our exceptions to the rule is fishing. It is considered acquiring food and outdoor recreation which we can do. Just can't do playground where kids would congregate.

Never saw them when they weren't dried. Thanks Jon. Those days are way past for me too.

The fish is a bowfin. We call him Gasper goo down here

This is a Gasper goo. They sure do fight! 5 1/2 pounds I usually catch one about every 10 years.

Yes, I do have to say that it was hard for me not to keep those in the last picture! But I have enough in my lifetime.
