So I broke the tip of my bait caster last year and am too lazy too repair. Will breaking off the last eyelet and smithing sealing off the end make me lose anything like feel on the rod. I will lose approximately an inch of length.

You can clean the tip up and epoxy (or hot glue) a new top guide on. You loose a little bit of the sensitive tip but itll still catch fish.

Thank you the little bit of ceramic broke out of the top eyelet so it's fraying my line. Again thank you so much I will do what you have mentioned. Plus hey now I will only be able to feel the big ones.

To me it’s like walking around in shoes with one shoe lace too short and not tight enough, just doesn’t feel the same, still good shoes and you can get around without hurting your feet but you know it just isn’t the same
