Stripers look like they sound- they have stripes from head to tail. Very good eating. They have to be from 18-26 inches here in Virginia to keep, at a minimum.

Sorry, but for a few of us that live in other parts of the country. I would like to see pictures of these fish. i'm
always interested in different species of fish being caught. Just in case i get a chance to go out to new places for fishing and sight-seeing. Wheeled ice-house in tow, with a kayak to paddle around and play with the fish.
I have fished in Canada, Cancun, Florida and even South Africa. I have a fishing guide service in Minnesota, mainly fishing Walleye, but also doing multi-species, Northern Pike to what-ever is willing to tighten the line.
Along with the fishing service, I provide taxidermy for fish, if you would like. Jiggin Jim fishing guide service,

They are just pulling chains tom54. Some folks miss spell striper now and then and they get called out on it.
You know some old folks just take longer to train like Spirit, flyguy, hacksaw, Eastern, Randy, Graywulff and oh darn ran out of time.

I gotcha. I’m known to have a crazy sense of humour myself but not too much when it comes to fishing. Don’t get to go a lot with this Neuropathy condition.

So, are these for eating, catch and release like largemouth and smallmouth, or both? Look like a fun fish for light tackle as in 4 to 8 pound test lines and light rods.

Maybe I started all this confusion by saying we wouldn't know a drum from a stripper. Sorry. Lots of folks get on here and talk about catchin strippers when they really mean stripers. Damned spellchecker! I guess most of us know the difference. Now trout - that's another matter. Folks in Florida don't know a trout from their mother-in-law.
