Most all the old Mitchells that were made in Sweden are true gems. Still have a few from back in the day that I still use. Just as good as ever.

Mine either. So I don't believe they do.
cool thanks guys. I bought the old spincast out of nostalgia, but it is newer than the 606 I had when I was a kid. I didnt know it was a 606 at the time lol hated when I "won" the seikeo and it clicked when you reeled if the anti reverse was on.
What kind of fishing are you doing with a vintage spinner. I have a collection of over 50 vintage spinning reels but most of mine are saltwater surf casting reels. My favorites are Penns, Mitchell’s, and the old Daiwa Silver Series reels (I have 5). The best vintage freshwater spinning reel I have is one of my oldest - a very nice French Luxor spinner from the late 1940s. Unfortunately a good one is far from inexpensive. You really can’t beat a really nice Mitchell 300. They are numerous, easy to care for, and don’t cost a lot.

The Mitchell reels were not made in Sweden. They were made in France.
