I don’t have any first hand knowledge but from what I’ve read seems like they eat anything that fits in their mouth. So probably any bass lures will work

Snakeheads have been caught in the pond in the park in Philadelphia near the phila navy yard.
I,don’t know the name of the park but it’s across from the stadiums on broad street.

Im live in Orlando,Fl. now. But from Northern Va. Caught snakeheads in the Potomac River alot. Top water frogs, they love fogs and shad. Swim baits was my favorite. They fun to catch, great to est. They are invasive and do not release. We have the bullseye snakehead in southern fl. But dont get as big as the giant snakeheads in the Potomac. Average 10 to 20 lb.

Fished in Gulf off Sarasota on party boat, caught lots of Grunts, and a thing they called “SNAKEFISH”. Helpers on board said it was a trash fish, kill it. But, man did that thing have a mouth full of teeth!! Looked like bandsaw uppers and lowers!

I am a snowbird and fish in the gulf. Never saw a snakehead, but did catch several lizard fish. Maybe that is what you caught because they have a mouthful of very sharp teeth and sort of look like a snakehead.

Going out tomorrow. Maybe I will catch one.

Check for any closures before you make the trip. Most of the parks in the suburbs have been closed due,to virus. They’ve also closed the liquor stores in the burbs!

Good luck Hotrod, that was my first and only time fishing on a party boat. It was interesting how they fish those things. 100 people on each side, and not that many tangled lines! That fish was about 16-20 inches long. When I stopped it from spinning and got to its head I wasn’t getting my fingers close to its mouth!
