Good afternoon Stage.. how is everyone today, I hope yall are in good health in these crazy times. I found this post about anger and wanted to share. I believe this is strait out of "Jesus Calling" by Sarah Young but it's a very good message..
"Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger. Although this is a biblical command, anger is treated as taboo in many Christian circles. Repression of this normal, human emotion is neither righteous nor healthy; in fact, it can lead to serious problems. If you fail to recognize your anger, you are likely to let the sun go down on it and take it to bed. This gives the devil an opportunity—a place of entrance into your life. It can also result in various health problems. Therefore, early recognition of these powerful feelings is vital. The command 'Be angry' gives you permission to have such feelings, so you are free to face them openly. You do, however, need to be careful how you express them." -Jesus Lives by Sarah Young, p. 320

Now, that being said, I have a real issue with this. As she said though, "early recognition of these powerful feelings is vital".. that's what I've been working on, recognizing it.. feeling it.. and settling it down before I blow a cork. I've prayed about this, started a few months back and I'm starting to see results. My wife tells me I'm better, I FEEL a 100 times better mentally. Trish says the last couple months while she has been gone, she sees ME again, instead of whatever I turned in to.. things are getting better. Prayer was key, and advice from you all was the driving force. Collectively, we all bring wisdom to the table. Also collectively, theres MANY years of wisdom on this site.. in a sense, I'm collecting wisdom from each and every one of you, 'life application 101' how to adult correctly lol.
GodBless and keep you safe. Walk in love and peace, go in grace..

Good afternoon Stage.. how is everyone today, I ho... (
show quote)
Denny follow my rules for a "Good Day" and if you think about them it will help a lot.
1) I don't have to change a flat tire.
2) I Don't have to talk to an Insurance Adjuster.
3) Nobody sticks a gun in my face.
If it isn't severe physical pain or life threatening, it is petty.
You won't remember it 3 years from now.
You can remember every really good thing that happened to you 3 years later.
You can remember every really bad thing that happened to you 3 years later.
I remember when I got married, when my daughters were born.
I remember when my father and later my mother died.
I don't remember the dummy that cut me off 3 years ago.
BTW When that does happen, I out on a big smile and wave at them.
If they see me waving at them and it was an accident, I see them shrug and wave back.
If they did it on purpose to make me mad, that didn't happen and they are now ahead of me so I can see the accident they cause and avoid it.
My Blood pressure didn't rise and I didn't stop watch the traffic around me where I might get into an accident. See #2 above.
I win, they loose and I didn't get mad.
Like I said, in 3 years you won't remember the petty stuff so why get mad about it?
BTW #1 I finished blowing out my back changing a flat tire and did a wek n the hospital and 3 months rehab to finally get back to 98% 7 years later.
#3 I have so far avoided by not being "Stupid" and having "Victim" tattooed on my forehead.
Every day is the first day of your life again, enjoy it. IMO
