Looks as though YOU were the visitor at the fishin hole. If so, glad you were the one who caught.

Yes I suppose so. Lots of Montanan’s fish there, really folks from all over travel to fish there.

Clearwater, bank fishing. Bobber/drifting w/ 1/8 oz jig.

Sounds like an easy basic way to fish with a bobber & Jig. I don't know if there are any steelhead in WV.
Never heard of one being caught where I fish.

I’m jealous. I fish salt water because we don’t have fresh water fish like that in Pa. Congrats - beautiful fish.

Thanks I would like to fish saltwater more.

Nice fish Bric. I've tried and failed to catch one of those, but I will one day. Keep sending pictures like that and you might be fishing next to me one day lol.

from the looks of your pic,, to me it looks like you might be somewhere around Harpster or Kooskia. I've never fished there but I always like to look at the photos that people pin up in the stores around there. I'm always amazed at such BIG fish being caught in that part of the Clearwater river. Nice!

Easier said than done, lol. I have heard a saying they are 'the fish of 1000 casts'.

I like ur signature line, I didn't pee but it was sure an adrenaline rush, lasted for several minutes even after landing the thing.

Beautiful fish! Fun isn't it?

Just a little tip - if you're going to return the fish, try to keep their heads in the water for pic. ;o)

That is a beauty. I have fished the Clearwater several times. One of my sons used to live right on the river.

Went steelhead fishing last few days with old friend. We had been wanting to connect on this trip for many years and finally did it. I'm pretty much a newbie at steelheading. 36" male, hatchery fish. What a thrill!
Limit has been one fish 28" or less. Very next day they lifted the size limit. Oh well catch & release was fine, maybe next time will get to keep one.

Nice fish bric. Congrats.

They are a very elusive fish. Hard to convince to take your presentation. Here’s a few we got up here in Washington.
