Saw these at local pond. They're on the cattails about 4 to 6 inches out of the water.

Definately apple snail eggs. Bought 5 for my goldfish pond to help keep down algea and plant life from getting out of hand. Watched them start laying eggs and the next year I was finding them all over within 15 to 20 feet from the pond. Was giving them away to anyone that would take them sometimes up to 25 at a time. All in one year in 125 gallon fish pond from LOEWS. Birds killed and ate all the fish and a few smails were ate by racoons but they must not like them very much either. Drained the pond and turned it into planter.

Having to loose a pond over snails is not good.

Birds and coons will kill or eat fish by themselves. You could of had an Escargot 🐌 Party. In Pacific NW many peoples fish get eaten by Blue Heron. Cool bird but good hunters. We have eagles crows hawks noisy neighbors... neighbors cats neighbors dogs.

Those are apple snails must knock them in the water so they don’t hatch not good for the pond or river!!!!
