Maybe I just don't like oysters? My mom used to make oyster stew and scalloped oysters and I never liked either of them. One day in a waterfront bar in Portland a shipmate and I were watching folks down em raw from shot glasses with a lime wedge and tabasco sauce. Asked the bar tender how much, he says 50 cents apiece. We each had about 10 dollars worth. I've been hooked on em ever since. The raw ones that is.

That's the best way to eat them. My opinion.
