Your post doesn't say where you're from....

Loc: Lake Onalaska, Sunfish Capitol of the World!
That brown is bigger than the browns that I caught yesterday, and it could be bigger than any that I have caught, but I have caught some big ones out of Lake Mich.
Wow! That's an impressive fish. Thanks for sharing.
Lake O? Lake Ontario? You're keepin us guessing. I've never seen one close to that big.
It looks like Salmon. You said feels like a spring king. It looks like one too. Black mouth is indicator. Nice fish no matter what it is.
Krikes!....that's a fish Cap'n
That looks like a big silver salmon (coho) to me. We have those in some parts of California but they're not legal to take. My FIL used to catch em in Lake Michigan and smoke em. Good eats! Call it what you will, I'm done arguing about fish names.

With you spirit. Looks like Salmon. Hen Silver. The Fish Egg show are lake trout. They look quite different.
It’s not a salmon ! It was identified as Bfown trout by fisheries agent !
The mouth is pure white , not black at all !
Cool. Chinook have black. Silver salmon have white mouth. That’s awesome either way. I guess what it means is Coho look like Brown Trout. The Brown Trout I saw in past we’re brown. Thanks for sharing though.
Did the Fisheries guy have a white cane? A dog with a harness. Coke bottle glasses? 🤠
Had the fun of watching a ten pound brown caught on a tip up in the shipping lane between Greenbay and Sturgen Bay on Saturday morning. We only got 3 pike but one was 25 1/2 long.Fun time with my kids and cousin who lives there. 6 inches of ice then but probably gone now.
