Nice fish guys! Very nice.
"Bob's your uncle" is from England, I think I heard it first from Monty Python.
Awesome day guys, nice pics, thanks for sharing!

Had a blast today, reconnected with a cousin I haven't seen in years. We went shad fishing without much luck, he did manage to catch a small bass. So we left and decided to go to a pond in the country club and bass fish. First cast and WHAMMO, fish on, 3.77 lb bass. The bite was so on, about 4 hours of fishing and we landed 10 bass, 6 for him, 4 for me, 3 small about a pound, the rest 2-3 lbs. He left and I caught 3 more in about 30 minutes. Here's a few pics.
That’s a great day, for sure. Congrats!

Please bear with me as I digress into History, which is relevant and important to the title of your story. Moreover, my reply below challenges many other people/sites online that give various reasons and origins of inspiration for the phrase.
Hearing that phrase rang a bell in my head because the last time I heard it, it came from my Uncle Terry, giving us kids some advice way back in the early 1960’s, in Ceylon, a former British Colony, where all of us were born. (After gaining Independence from England, Ceylon renamed itself Sri Lanka).
Uncle Terry explained how the Scot, Robert the Bruce - he’s in the movie Braveheart - was hiding in a cave from the forces of England’s King Edward I.
Robert observed a spider climbing up a wet wall, who kept falling off repeatedly, but the spider “tried and tried again” and eventually succeeded.
This life-lesson inspired Robert to keep fighting the British - like Americans did to gain Independence from England in 1776 and acquire the name “The United States of America”.
Well, Robert successfully fought the British and became the King of Scotland. So Uncle Terry’s advice was that we too should remember Robert’s life-lesson, about trying again if at first you don’t succeed. Uncle Terry should know because he made a successful living as a painter of portraits and landscapes, which is a very tough livelihood!
Us Anglers too, clearly learned from Robert the Bruce’s experience, as we persistently keep trying to land the biggest fish.
Nice1 and Tight lines buddy!
Yes, I'll be glad to, sorry I've taken so long. Year ago, in England there was a Prime Minister by the first name of Robert. Apparently, he had some nephews who were rowdy young men,and he would have to step in and bail them out. Whence came the remark, " And remember, Bob's your uncle"! Just sayin...RJS
A great day like that is priceless. You will remember it forever. Congratulations.
