This is a 6 pound bass my grandson caught on the James river in Richmond Virginia on Sunday
Great catch he’ll be ready for tournament fishing before you know it. I’ll bet he had a smile from ear to ear. Looks like you have a fishing buddy for life now. Tight lines.

It’s a nice fish and a nice picture. Thanks for sharing. And you’re awesome for taking your grandson fishing. Beats playing video games any day. 👍

Always someone wanting to rain on a parade. Maybe the grandson shoulda held up the fish and called it 12 lbs. Some people's kids.geez💩
Then all the Debbie Downers would have said “that’s only an 8 pound fish not 12” 😂

Bet he cant wait for your next trip, like others say you now have a happy life fishing partner thanks for the pics. 6lb fish, 6 million dollar smile I bet
No matter how old the kid these are always great moments to share. My grandson still waiting for a whopper.
Way to go young man, grandpa will taking you fishing more
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. But I don't think that's always true. Have you ever seen a football game on tv when the cameraman is in the end zone behind the punter or receiver and the other goalposts look like they are a mile away instead of 100 yards? I see pictures all the time of fish and deer that don't look like what they should be wether too big or too small. Sunshine, shadows, angles, bad cell phones, bad photographers! The grandfather said the kid caught a 6 lb. Bass that is good enough for me. Way to go kid! I am envious.

If i had caught it, I'd a called in a 6 pounder too, maybe more. But then, I'm old and can't read my scale very well anymore. Ha Ha.

Welcome to the stage USMC and thanks for your service. Great group of folks here to share info with. Thanks for listing your location. I show 3 other folks from Ohio here as well. Looking forward to your post and pics are always welcome.
Congrats to the young fellow. I love the James River. Fish there every year for stripers when in season and the monster cats that always hang around. Best catfish fishery in the east in my opinion.
