I have used them, but have much better success with spinner baits. Sometimes a put a creature bait on the spinner bait hook.
Catch pike easily from the lake where I live. It has too many pike in it and the rule is if you get one over 18 inches, get it out of the lake. I usually catch 24 to 28 inchers.
Thanks for the reply, sounds like lots of fun on your lake. Do you eat the Pike?

Sometimes I eat the pike by pan frying them. My friend is supposed to give me a recipe for pickling them.
If I get the recipe, I will try it.
The lake also has many bass and crappies which I eat more often.
My lake has bass and walleye. We eat a lot of walleye. Best lure is xrap#10 in "hot steel color". I've pickled some herring. guess the recipe for pike would be similar. We also eat pike and perch from nearby lakes.
Like to eat crappie too but they are scarce around here.
Keep fishing.
Yes. The best lure I have ever used for big pike is a chatterbait, of my own design.
that's interesting Ummm chatter baits for muskie will have to try it
