There is a fish in the pond behind my house that is huge. It has a dorsal fin (I’m guessing) that sticks about 4 inches out of the water. It appears to be gray, and we call it the shark.
What could this fish be? The guy who stocked it before put some weird fish in here, including koi, but I don’t know what this could be. I guess it could be issuable that it is its pelvic fin, but it’s still gigantic.

A koi is a type of carp so maybe depending on the size and color it could just be a type of carp mixed in with them. A photo would be very helpful in identification.

Best guess would be a grass carp, since they are often stocked in ponds to control algae and frequently get huge.

My guess is a Catfish. I've seen giant Catfish that I thought were Redfish before.

Sturgeon is a possible suspect.
