Beginner Bass Lure Recommendation

I am just getting into fishing as a hobby and feel pretty confident with my trout skills. I found the perfect inline spinner for my trout fishing needs. I cast it out and bring it in pretty quickly. I am hooking them about 1 in 5 cast! I am looking for the same for bass. I know nothing and want to build on my knowledge as I go along. I was given my gold inline spinner recommendation and it was ezpz. I want the same for a bass lure. I've been told Texas with a Senko, but it requires fineness. Is there a lure that I can cast out and bring it in without any bouncing or jigging like the one I am using for trout while fishing for bass that you can recommend me?

I was looking at this guy. He seems to be the good middle ground when it comes to size at 1/2 oz. What do you guys think?

But yeah spinner, chatterbait, and depending on the water you're working lipped crankbaits would be good options, too.

Finesse isn't really the word I would use with a senko. You cast it out, let it sink to the bottom, pop it up 2-3 times, let it fall, repeat back to boat. But if you just want to chuck and wind then a spinnerbait is a good place to start. I'd probably go with something cheaper at first for when you inevitable lose it then you're not just losing a $10 spinner. Booyah makes some pretty good inexpensive ones. Swim jigs and Chatterbaits/Bladed jigs can also be chuck and wind, but require you to use a soft plastic trailer on the back to impart any action to the bait. A crankbait is another option, has a bill that comes in varying sizes that allows it to dive to a certain depth and wobble side to side. And the final option would be a lipless crankbait, which is the same thing but without the bill. They are pretty good this time of year due to bass being in shallow water and spawning. Very good baitfish imitator. Your final option would be a Keitech soft plastic in the 4.8 inch size with an Owner Beast hook in the 4/0 size.

I see that link came from the tactical bassin youtube page and I 110% recommend you search their channel for literally anything. Search it for beginner and I'm sure you will find a shit load of videos covering everything on getting started.

I personally bought one last night, a 90 I think they call it... Caught 5 stupid fish with it in about 25 casts... Idk why they work but it's dumb cause now I need a bigger one.

@9 or #11 Rapala Floater in silver, Mepps (#1. #2) 6" or 7" plastic worm ( black or purple), Any small jig or grub. Light line for the hard baits, a little heavier for the worms or jigs.

for a beginner I suggest a spinner bait or a worm. let him start with braid so you can pull the lure out of hang ups better and save your sanity. braid will not hurt much as long as the water is not gin clear. The worm will hang up much less with a beginner.
