Retired and enjoying like and all it has to offer. Trying to learn to fish all over again. Been too many years!
Got the boat and fish finder...Now attempting to learn what I can so I can pull that giant fish in someday! Isn't that every fisherman's dream?

Frenchie: In your first sentence, did you mean like, or lake? It sounds like you are already 80% of the way there with gear. Since I've never fished in AZ, I will leave the tackle up to others to recommend what an how. Welcome to the Forum. Just sayin...RJS

Great bass lake. Go to tackle shop ask for help for gear for bass fishing. Don’t let them oversell you. Then go catch those bass in that beautiful Lake.
Good luck.

Go to the local tackle shop in Lake Havasu City, introduce yourself and ask to talk to John who works behind the counter and explain to him that you are new to the area and are in need of information on how to fish on Lake Havasu. Tell him that Ron Chambers from the Midweek Bass Anglers of Arizona recommended that you come to his tackle shop and ask for his assistance. This will be the best choice for you to shorten your learning curve... The address is blow. The phone number is 928-584-2277...

It is also very helpful to buy most of your fishing equipment from his tackle shop... You will have to learn to Dropshot and jig fish with a 1/4 Oz. with a Chigger Craw in the green pumpkin πŸŽƒ color...

We used to camp at Cat Tail Cove Campground. It was the furthest from town. There is plenty of eye candy there. We never fished when growing up near there. We spent a lot of time across the lake from campgrounds and town at the cliffs where people jump off. One time I was fishing at the campground not to far from boat ramp at dusk and a HUGE tarantula ran right up next to me. I about had a heart attack. I think there might be huge stripers and catfish in there. We had many school campouts there.

We came from Yermo to camp and boat there.
