Going into the wv mountains tomorrow with a buddy and do some stream fishing for trout probably try Shäffer’s fork and the gandy.

Some native Brook trout but mostly stocked rainbow, brown, gold and stocked brook. You can tell the natives they are smaller and very colorful.

Here in NW Wisconsin,brookies and specks are the same thing. What are the differences in the Golden State?

We don't have anything that I know of in California that goes by speckled or speck some people might call brookies speckled because they are speckled. I've never heard of it.
