New to fishing stage. It won't be long that our temps will be back in the 80's and just right for a day at the beach surf fishing. Looking forward to many days with rod in hand.

Welcome to the forum! Love to hear about Florida fishing. The post about 80 degree temps will make some guys on here jealous. The talk this morning all over the country was about how crappy the weather is. Love to hear about any tarpon fishing you might do there. I would love to tangle with one of those

Chuck you should be up the bottom of our river catching red fish. Went bass fishing yesterday and caught 6 nice reds. One was a 21 inch keeper but the little 16 and 17 inchers were sure fun to catch. And we also caught 5 bass. But I'm with you I'll be glad to see a little warmer weather. By the way we were in Freeport.

Welcome Chuck. Please update your profile and add you location so you don't have to tell us where you are each time you post. What is you fish for in the Florida surf? I fish in the California surf whenever I can get over there to the coast. Mostly for surf perch.

Just recently moved from Texas to LA (lower Alabama) and looking forward to the spring Pompano run! We’ll be fishing the surf at Ft. Morgan. Last year when we came down to visit, an ol’ timer local told us where and how to fish for them. They are definitely my wife’s favorite now!

Welcome aboard...not too much in Pensacola Bay...yet...just remember when fishing in this area the less hardware the better. Sheepshead have been reported around the jetties in the pass...
