Easiest release of a Snook. After the Snook has been gently de-hooked, place your thumb inside its mouth holding the bottom jaw securly in your hand. All done with fish held in water. The Snook will allow you to hold it like this until it is ready to swim away. It's a very cool thing!

Yes, but you don't hold on to the fish. The snook will remain in the water, not being held by you. It just holds on to your thumb & stays there, unlike the bass that just wants to quickly swim away.

Yep. Mostly bass here during fall, winter and spring. Then trout during the summer.

Do you fish for snook or others saltwater? Are you mostly freshwater, lakes, streams & rivers?

Welcome,
I don't know anything about snook, but they look like they may put up a good fight.

I enjoy bass fishing, especially smallmouth. Love trout fishing, I smoke them. Any if I want to lazy fish, Crappie. Have you ever fished for natives? They are small, but a fun trout to catch.
Where do you live? Lots of good fishing spots nearby?

Yes they are good fighters. You could compare them to freshwater bass. Great to eat also.
