Is it edible? If not , looks like more bait to me.
Fresh water mussels are if cooked completely. We can eat Salt water organisms raw but not fresh water organisms raw because we are fresh water organisms. The parasites etc form salt water will NOT effect us but fresh water will.

Good job Grandpa.
That's awesome for both of the Grandpas to take Gkids fishing. You are making memories that can never be taken away. My Grandpa and 3 different uncles at different times took me fishing. I am addicted to fishing and always will. I will always remember those that pass it on to me ( the sport of fishing as well as hunting). I am the oldest Grand SON in the whole family from several immediate families.
I also was given my Grandfather's Grandfather Clock as well as his 7MM Mauser deer hunting rifle.

Your gonna need a bigger boat. A buddy of mine sent me that he said he didn’t know who or where it was caught.
It’s probably the one in my boat.

Hey WH, welcome to the stage. Have you ever been fishin over at Oak Creek? I grew up in the Lubbock area and we use to go there sometimes and fish the hot water outlet there. It was great. You are right between my 2 sisters and Mom. One lives in Fate and the others live in Lubbock.
I have fished at Lake Allen Henry...no trees, no shade but I have not fished that creek.
Nice bucket o' fish there Mike... I'm just curious about where you found a sideways vertical lake and fish for dinner... :)
Best Regards and Happy Thoughts,
Fred Williams
I think mike might have caught that big one.A new record was set for crappie not long ago.

It makes casting to the brush a little bit easier and snags easy to unhook and not as hard on the back but my tackle box keeps tipping over and worst of all my beer keeps spilling.
A friend of mine fishes alot in lake okachobee in the spring ,his father in law lives there. They usually go there in march,he says they have alot of days there with 2lb or better crappie average. That sounds really good to me.JR says the crappie are the best kept secret of fishing in Florida.
San tee Cooper lake moltree the lower lake has giant crappie.
