Got some really good size trout today. Night crawlers and a bobber was the ticket.

I would like to take him fishing and let him stair into the water and pick up the fish as they floated to the top.

That's our Mikey. Sweet catches there Mike. Yours look like they come from different family lines as ours are all the same here. I bet they all just taste the same though. Delicious. I had one out of the freezer tonight baked with Garlic pepper and Cajun seasoning. Yea buddy Delicious too.

How far off the bottom are you catching?

the lake I was fishing is a really shallow maybe six feet at its deepest. I’m only fishing down about two feet. Using two rods just casting out and letting it drift. The water is kinda dirty not good for lures. I tried power bait with no luck they seem to just want the night crawlers.

Can't say I have Mike. This brackish water and even the water in the sound has a minimum amount of species in it.

As for your catching technique sounds the same as what a mirrolure does with out the twitching part. Most hits are on that slow descend upon the hit on the water and after the twitch. Occasional catch on the reel in but mostly as it is settling down.

Drums seem to hit when the lure lays on bottom to long.
