Does anyone have or know where I can get some plans for building a surf fishing cart. I know, its probably cheaper to buy one, but what fun would that be?
Plans or links to would be appreciated.

Looks pretty nice for the pier. I think I'd need a mule for the sand, but then I wouldn't need the cart.

I checked out that link above. While I continue to be open-minded about customized items, such as this, I was not able to rationalize EVER buying $600 worth of TIRES for a project such as this. The only thing this guy could have done to make it MORE ridiculously overpriced, would have been to have two Yeti coolers...one for the fish, one for the fishermen.....and he forgot an umbrella and seating !
A custom furniture maker for 40+yrs, I did indeed have clients who saw no need for thrift..."this is what I want, how much will it cost ?" My retirement might be a bit more exciting, had that been the norm.... it's not.
"5 times cost of materials is my usual labor cost", I would tell them, and even the wealthy start to rethink their priorities.
I'm just saying, if the guy wants to put the same time and money as a boat into a cart, he's welcome to it. Didn't watch long enough to see how he is transporting between beach/pier and home......sand-laden thing like that ain't gonna ride in the back of my SUV (if it even would fit), without a good cleaning first !

Harbor Freight has some nice tires that may work. When you make your surf fishing cart, please post pictures. I want to build one also. Happy building!

Exactly. $169 & $129..each !?!...and not sure about why the different sizes... advantage ?
I see carts that seem expensive to me @ $200-$400 and yes, Harbor Freight would help me achieve a practical cart. Might even consider their fold up wagon, and retro-fit the wheels.
My cart for my 14' Foldcat was made from aluminum box tubing and wheels from a kids mountain bike, my "cart" for my little 5' Hobie fish pontoon, that I built a transom/ footrest/ accessories frame for, has the wheels off a walker, both from the "As is" Goodwill here....total investment....$18.
I do, however, understand the pride of creating EXACTLY what you wanted, and wanting to share that joy. Impossible to say how many projects I have pursued in the past decades, that proved impractical, money-wise, but highly satisfying in the design and fabrication of..whatever, and the education justifies the pursuit.... most of the time !

Bought a fold up wagon for plant sales and would work for a fishing cart too! So many around with rod holders $$$, sure you could build a custom one with beach type tires cheaper.

The big problem is the only tires that work well on the beach are pushing $100.

Look up fishing carts on Pinterest.com They have hundreds of plans, mostly made out of pvc pipe, and not very expensive to make.

When y'all are on the stage site, do you have all these adds that are on there? If so, I think it was just yesterday an add popped up on here that was for a cart just like what you're talkin bout. It was only 125 dollars I believe. Nice lookin cart if you needed or wanted one.

I use an aluminum hand truck - bought from ULine - not too expensive. Mounted some 2" PVC for rod holders. Swapped wheels from a $50 beach cart bought at Sams Club. Cooler and 5 gallon bucket for gear held in place with bungee cords. It's light weight and doesn't consume a lot of space in my SUV

A blue haired lady in my old neighborhood had a steel hose reel cart she was putting out for the garbage guys. I got it, took
off the reel, put on new Harbor Freight wheels. screwed on 4 18”
pvc tunes on the corners. Holds my cooler, tackle bag, 3sandspikes and a US flag! I carry my chair with its shoulder straps and arrive ready for the day
