Okay I’m gonna toss this topic out again.
Anybody use an Alvey Reel?
I have watched the videos and I’m sold on the casting distance.
I want to fish the central cal coastal beaches this year-stripes salmon shark etc.
Tell me I’m crazy or tell me Get One!
I’m listening!

Hey Jeff, ain't they a lot of money? I always wanted a Calcutta reel also, but was it really worth 350 to 400 dollars for one? I didn't think so. I still catch plenty of fish and have just as much fun with way cheaper reels and gear. But that's just me. Besides we couldn't afford stuff like that anyway. I don't fault guys who CAN afford and want to have a nice reel though.

I have read a little about these reels and the Craftsmanship is outstanding. As much time and money that I have in fishing equipment I agree with you, buy the and learn about it and how to use it to the maximum. Who knows maybe you will enjoy a fishing 🎣 trip to Australia. This will give you some insight and knowledge. My Philosophy is you will only go around once in your life so enjoy it to the maximum. Have a great time with your new reel you deserve to have it.. Good luck..

Saw, I bid on one on eBay and some smart guy beat me by a dollar.
I know there expensive but Dang!
Watch the videos of these guys casting a split shot 400 yards!
Ok I get it
Southern Australia is a pretty cool place to fish if you have an alvey reel!
I’ll come back down to reality
Spark plug weights and worms from the lawn
A bucket for cooking hot dogs
My bubble got popped!
Hahaha

Thank you Ron!
When I was a kid everybody had wrist rocket sling shots
I made a sling like the one David used to kill Goliath
I got fairly accurate with it
Till I launched a river rock into oblivion and it came down on the Back windshield of a Hillman Manx car the niebhors owned.
I thought I was so cool But I’ll never forget the sound that rock made plunging into that old car!
I worked all summer to pay off my debt.
Watch the Alvey videos
You tell me
I still want one and learn how to be effective with one.
Your right
Life’s too short to be afraid any more!
