A couple of buddies went Moose hunting and flew into a small and very remote lake in a float plane. The pilot left them there for a few days, and upon return they had a huge moose all quartered and ready to take out. The pilot explained to them that there would be too much weight if he tried to take everyone and the moose out at the same time. They told the pilot that their pilot last year took off with easy that much weight, and kinda questioned his abilities. By Gawd, the pilot replied, if he can do it, I can!!!!! So they loaded everything up and went back just as far as they could, revved the engine to full speed skipping across the water until they reached the end of the lake, and as the pilot struggled to get the plane airborne, it hit some trees and crashed. As everyone kinda started to come to after the crash, one guy asked the other, Where are we at? His buddy replied about a 100 yards from where we crashed last year.
Get a fire going have lots of Moose to BBQ.
One of my all-time favorite
fishing commercials was the
one where a guy gets tossed
out of a float plane over a
pristine remote lake, and the announcer states - "When you're going on the fishing trip of a lifetime, DON'T be the guy who forgets the 'Rapalas' !" - First
time I saw it, I nearly wet my
pants from laughing so hard !
I don't care who you are, that's funny.
How far will this plane fly with this load?
All the way to the scene of the crash...
Ah ! A Ron White fan ! That's
one of his best (and my
favorite) routine ! Now that
I live in Mesa and have seen
the places he mentions, it
takes on a whole new aspect !
Haven't tubed it, but I have
walked and fished quite a bit
of shoreline; getting harder to
do lately, as it is pretty rugged
terrain for my age and weight !

Indeed I am a drunk in public, tater salad, Ron White fan. I loved it when he said the plane would get to the scene of the crash about half an hour before the paramedics. One of my favorite people.
Great laugh thanks Brent!
Pilot tried.. Today he gets a participation ribbon and a trophy!!!
