Planning a spring crappie trip to Rocky Fork Lake in Ohio. Never been there and interested to hear from those who have. Any help would be appreciated. We will only be there for a few days, so I would like to eliminate non crappie water if possible.

Just make certain you don't go to SALT Fork State park in Ohio

I only Bass fish there but if you’ll go to Bayview store and launch ramp on the north side of the lake they will tell you current news. They also have live minnows which a lot of the crappie fishermen use plus any artificial baits you could want. Timing is weather related. But April and May will have em moving up.

Oh, good to know. Never personally seen one, didn't know there was an aggressive type. Went thru North California, Humboldt County, once and there were several people I talked to there who said they had seen one.

I haven't seen one myself but I know people who have, and I like to study Myths and Legends in my spare time.

Agreed, Myths and legends many times have an element of truth to them.
I used to wade a creek called snake creek, never saw one snake in it. I ask my great grand father how the creek got it's name and he told me " many years before your time, that creek was loaded with Cottonmouths." After a kid was bitten and died form the bite The old timers started killing every snake they saw until they cleaned them out. The creek is still named Snake Creek for a reason, it just no longer applies to what lives there.

Good idea about bayview store and minnow suggestion. Tight lines!
