Completed back to back doubleheaders today. Went fishing π£ in Manasquan Inlet this afternoon on a hot, sunny day with little wind and incoming tide during the new moon π flood tide. Caught, tagged and released a 19β 2.75 lb fluke with a 50 year old metal. Only had one hit in 100 minutes of casting. Got weeds on nearly every cast. Lots of boats, fishermen, beach people and surfers πββοΈ were nearby. Brant were on Debbieβs Creek. Caught nothing in 4 of 7 trips to the inlet this year. Went carping in the 74 degree Millstone River on the south shore in West Windsor, NJ, this evening to complete back to back doubleheaders. A strong south wind blew away the mosquitoes π¦ and made it feel cool in the shade. Threw out corn for chum, then caught nothing while ultralight jigging. Landed a 24β 6.5 lb milt leaking, spawn ready common carp with canned whole kernel corn on 12 lb test line. Caught 9 carp that weighed 64.5 lbs this year.

Are you sayin that the fluke already had a 50 year old metal tag in it?
Nice fluke
Some of the old lures are still hard to beat.
Looks like fun. Careful out there, those rocks look slick.

maybe I am missing something, but isn't that surfer supposed to be standing on the board rather than walking beside it?
