Born in 41. My first one was Lowell Thomas. Believe he was first to travel to different locations. "So long until tomorrow". Back when they said what it was not some twisted version with a political slaint. Not much real journalism any more.

I understand "The Rest of The Story" was his son's production. His son didn't have the voice and more importantly the timing nor the length for the pauses.
I watched a film from Dr. Canfield explaining metering with Paul Harvey's voice. Dr. Canfield could put a person to sleep with his monotone, but he was a very smart professor.
