I know that this has been discussed before but I am replacing the line on my reel. I have had Power Pro on it for probably close to 10 years. I sent the reel for service and removed the line. I was amazed how good of condition it still was so I put it on an inshore reel.
I’m open to suggestions for brands and retailers. I seem to remember that some of you have tried TEMU and were not disappointed. Their prices certainly are attractive.
Thanks.
I don’t shop Temu. They harvest you le info and sell it worldwide, is how they make their money. .

That’s why I haven’t used TEMU yet. On my iPhone or iPad it won’t let me do anything unless I download the app. I didn’t get that message on my computer. I was able to surf the site.

Everybody's info is already out there.
I don't use/have their APP and I order stuff all the time.
If you think you are keepin your info from someone by NOT orderin from TEMU then you are just foolin yourself.
Our info is available to anyone that has any computer skills at all. Just Sayin.
This isn't just directed at you Chief. I just hit Quote Reply after the last entry, sorry.

If you have used your computer to order anything or do any kind of online banking or shoppin then your info is already available.
I know people that can get just about anyone's bank statements, PH #s, addresses, relatives, what they look at on their computers, their drivin history, if they been arrested, sometimes their social security #s, were they ever in the military, what rank they held, where they served, what credit cards they use and who knows what else.
It's really scary how much info is already out on the web that we can't take back or delete. Just Sayin.

I have bought braided line from Temu and I am happy with it and I will continue to buy from them, one that I particularly like I only know as “PE X8” it shows on the website in red and neon green, I have the red and it hasn’t faded in over one season of use, seems a little stronger than labeled but I think it’s good stuff
Other than that I like suffix 832 and yo zuri super braid

Nice. Do the fish mind the red color? Or have you noticed any difference?
This is what I had. I really like the fact that it is measured. Different color every 25 feet with a hash mark every 5 feet. So if you want to put out 100 feet while trolling, there is no guessing. I just don’t like the price at cabelas, almost $50 for a spool of 65# plus tax.

I use a fluorocarbon leader usually not less than 3 feet long and the red color doesn’t seem to matter much at all, I like the colors I can see, red blue and yellow, I use a lot of yellow but I’d say my favorite is the blue

That stuff is costing too much for me

At 50 bucks for 333 yards at Cabelas compared to 4 to 5 bucks for 500 meters from Temu. Hmmmm, let me think bout this a min. Meters versus yards... If my math is right I think the better deal might be... Temu???

Yeah, I'm too frugal for that. I'll go to China, 1st Wish.com, then Aliexpress.com, last Temu.com
I have been buying mainly JOF brand 4 strand Braid. Started with 40 LB Army Green, 1000 Meters for under $15.00
It has gone up some but not much. I am trying the 8 LB and 20 LB line now also.
Using it on Spinning reels and still under $20 for 1000 Meters of the 4 strand. I have NOT tried other brands yet for long term testing, other than the JOF brand.
It has less coating than Power pro and both have LOTS less than Spider Wire. I will NOT buy or use Spider Wire, even if you give it to me. The coating comes off and coats the bail roller where I had to wire brush it off with my "Wizard" tool. Craftsman version of a Dremal. Some friends I fish with also said that Spider Wire cut into the guides on their rods. I have not seen that. The JOF has a light coating on the line, but still casts good.

Glen power pro was the first braid I ever use n I do like it.
As mentioned it n most brand names is very expensive.
One I have now that I really like is Beyond Braid.
I have camo blue n white.
As for red I've used it for yrs along with moss green.
I used Cajun mono in red n power pro red 15 lb.
I have Braid from 5lb up to 80lb.
For what I do I rarely go over 20lb.
As Saw said about Temu n info.
He's right about easy access to it by everyone.
My wife has credit karma.
She got to reading the report to me one day.
They had my info n I never signed up.
They track every move we make.
My wife questioned a location a time or two.
Told her to look at hers n see how many places it said she visited that she didn't know about.
Just driving by n I get how wasyour visit to bla bla 👍😅
Good luck y'all.
Yep I'm frugal also 👍🎣
