Son Gregg and I headed to one of the local waters for a bit this morning. We each caught 3 smallish bass and quite a few pickerel swimming 4” Keitech’s. We both lost a decent bass right at the bank, both looked to be a bit better than those we landed, maybe 2 and 1/4# or so. Tradition that we get out and fish on my birthday and make sure not to catch the skunk 🦨. The mallard pictured had 12 ducklings about a week ago but must have lost 2 to attrition of some sort. Got this card from my BIL, thought it was quite appropriate.

Love to see ya out in the rain my friend, fish don't care if it's raining but there sure seems to be a lot more elbow room as the crowd disperses quick. Just more fish for us 🤪. Fish on just keep an eye on the sky for the thunder/ Bolts. That's when I beach and wait it out. Keep on fishn'.🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲🙏
Nice bass and a great card.

Thank you Chuckay, not the nicest of days weather wise but still a fine day.

Yeah Andy, the rain doesn’t bother us too much but once coupled with wind just not too enjoyable and like you said frogman, we head for the truck once that sky lights up.
Thanks bands, we had the place to ourselves. No spot-hoppers in sight.

Loved the card Ridley, he always seems to come up with good ones.
Well happy birthday a little late, but congrats on fishing success. Birthday fishing is a good idea but for us that would mean walking on water and we don't do that. Happy fishing!!

Hey Brad. Sorry to have missed your Birthday but you're not listed in the birthday list.
Hope you had a wonderful day.
Looks like a good time fishin with the kid, even if it was in the rain.

Happy Bday Bk. Nice looking fish you and Gregg caught. Some of the best days of catching many/big fish are on rainy days, just never know.

No worries Steve, your eyes weren’t deceiving you. I didn’t list my birthday in my profile but I couldn’t resist posting the card I received from my BIL. Nice day with Gregg fishing this morning and then went out with son Ben and his girlfriend for supper at Tacos and Tequila, got their shrimp tacos and they were fantastic.
