When my family went to my grandparents house to go fishing the various farm pond's and shoot bulldogs that would be the main fare for breakfast. Crispy whole fried catfish and perch, frog legs, farm fresh egg's fried, lots of homemade biscuits, country fried seasoned potatoes, Grandma's homemade tomato preserves, lots of milk and coffee for sure. Usually some of Dad's brothers and my cousins would join us. Just something that has always stuck in my childhood memory that I can almost taste today.

Me to Gordon 🤣🤣🤣. Sounds like a awesome time and some good eatin 👍
Yes those were the days at grandma house. She would cook 3 meals a day. Each one included her biscuits. They taste like cake. I would always put one in my pocket. Sometimes I would forget it and mom would do laundry and there it was in the old washing machine out back with the ringer on it. Homemade Apple sauce. We didn’t have much but we always had more than others had. We had each other. Priceless memories.
Grandma would use a tenderizing mallet on the frog leg's before breading them to keep them from jumping out of the hot skillet. Sometimes she'd forget to pound one and she'd say, come back here mr hoppity?! 🤣

Definitely there! Family gatherings aren’t what they used to be. My mother would say Sunday and no one dared to say no.
Tomato preserves as in canned tomatoes!
