Using the good old hand held.. there's only one rental place near me that has a walk behind, and they are well aware and charge accordingly!

Ya I’ve only used the walk behind on big commercial jobs where I could pass that cost along easily. I’ve got a nice Rigid hand held with the dust collection system. It gets er done. But it’s much harder work.

Good luck J, I hope you saved your penny's buddy🤪. A buddy had this local cabinet maker do his and man is it beautiful. I know some of their family and they are good people and hard workers. You might check them out.

I had my own cabinet shop from 2008-2017. Very hard to compete price wise with all the Chinese made crap. Lost my big contract building cabinets for schools when they switched to ikea type garbage they could get from China cheaper. Decided to go back to building and remodeling after that because the profit margins were much better. I do miss working in the wood shop every day!!!

I’ll definitely give your guys a call. Like to support the little guy. Especially a family operation.👍🏻

Good morning Looney Toons!

It's awful soggy out there... we have an all day rain today. I got up with the intention of going to a local lake today, but the weather just looks YUCK! Its 59° now and raining with an expected high of.. yep 59° and more rain... Tomorrow's forecast looks a tiny bit better. I guess I'll see...

Sooo.. I'll probably just stay home and work inside the house. I had a diamond grinder arrive to dress some high spots in the concrete floor. I'll probably work with that today so we can get closer to installing the flooring.

Why is Dad's Hair White?

Kid: Why is some of your hair white dad?

Dad: Every time you make me unhappy, one of my hairs turns white.

Kid: Now I understand why grandpa’s hair is all white!

Have a great day folks!

Plan on it Jimmy. I’ve done about 100 kitchens in my career and have a few places to look that I’ll get well made stuff for the price of the big box crapp that’s out there. A lot of Amish phone numbers in my phone.😂🤣😂. Funny but true!!

Way back when, my MIL had some Amish from the (I think) Sugar Creek community do her kitchen and family room. I watched two of them argue fir 20 minutes over 1/16th of an inch on a beam. The workmanship was amazing.

Now a days unfortunately even Amish workmanship isn’t what it once was. Many of them are into production not so much quality. But there are still some that are amazing craftsman. I know a timber frame crew that is just like your talking. Everything they do is 100% perfection.

Those Baur tools aren’t bad at all. I’ve got a few. The mini jack hammer has been a life saver more than once and holding up well. The warranty is great as long as you use it. As a matter of fact I have an electric log splitter from Harbor Freight I need to return. Blew out the seals using it on big wood. They will give me a new one no questions asked. Can’t beat that!!

I've git the small jack hammer as well. I think they call it a Sidewall hammer. It's great for driving ground rods and rebar!

Good morning Doug all the rest . 56* and going to 61. Had a shower last night and more com I ng in around noon. Working a mini carnival for rhe resident vets at the VA Hospital. Set up a game booth, they rotate through. We give out cash prizes, others typical carry stuff. Local chicken place brings in lunch fir them. Just a little something to break up the boredom of being handicapped and having to live in a hospital.

That's very sweet. I would be happy to volunteer if you were closer!

We had fun. The vets came around, .mostly in wheelchairs, to visit all the game booths out there. We had a plinko machine where you drop a puck into a maze and it drops down into a slot labeled with a cash amount. They each got three pucks and got the total that they handed on in cash. They have a little snack area in the hospital wing they live in and they can purchase a treat when they want one.
