My brother said they are Land-lock King Salmon and he has fish for them a lot. To me they look like big trout but I know my big brother wouldn't BS his little brother

Nice job . Just wondering different than ocean kings ? Meat must be whiter as they are eating different . Where do they spawn ?

F & G plant these Land-lock Salmon in lakes and they fix them so they can't reproduce and only live about 4 years in the lake. Their meat is just as red as any Salmon

Yeah, I think they troll pretty fast for Billfish, don't they?

Yeah but only 7-10 knots Steve. You couldn't keep a lure in the water at that speed.

I was really excited about catching salmon in Lake Oroville and Almanor but surprised that they didn't compare with the Almanor trout as far as taste etc..
