Invasive species, caught a lot of them in the 'Great Lakes'. I was told the came in from other places and when the ship emptied their bilge, out they came. Largest I caught was maybe 6"

Not even close. 😉 This thing has its eyes on top of the head. Also, wrong ocean.

I think you are correct. I Googled it and that is exactly what it looks like, big mouth lots of teeth and a face only a mother could love,lol

Sound like gobies that you caught. Totally invasive, in many big waters now, and they are here forever now.

Maybe I haven’t learned how to properly link my response to previous ones. A fellow suggested an invasive loookalike in large bodies of freshwater.
