Jigs and or worms under a bobber so the bait can stay in place longer. If fishing from the bank and it is possible to cast parallel to the bank it is kinda like trolling.

Using a jig, lure, or whatever under a bobber is foreign to me. Never seen it, never done it, but I read about it here.
A basic instructional about that would be welcome.
Bluegills, Sunfish, Perch, Rock Bass, Do you catch more casting or jigging or just using a plain old worm?
My Grandson and I catch numerous Blue Gill, Crappie and other Pan fish with a single Red Worm on a small hook suspended until a unweighted small pencil bobber. The bobber floats on its side. When a fish fully has the bait the bobber will either stand up straight or move along the surface. Just a small jersey will set the hook 🪝 Commander Bell out 👍
