Mahi charter in Florida

I'm hoping to get to Florida this fall and was wondering if Mahi fishing is any good in Sept-Oct or a different time of the year? Thinking about Tampa area right now. Clearwater, St. Petersburg probably.
Is the gulf coast better or should I look at the east coast area instead?
Looking to take a charter and hoped someone had some good info as for timing and location. thanks in advance.

Well I know you will do better off the East Coast 🎣 because you don't have to go out very far offshore and the fishing is better, Ft. Lauderdale is a great place to go out from and not as much $$ as the Keys but that's the best place 👍 just ask Gordon for his opinion, wish you the best of luck 🙏
