Haven’t been on this lake in 25 years. What and where is best in the middle of April. Will be staying a week at Powells RV park and marina.

Be careful , lake is near all time low . Sand bars and stumps . Fishing has been hot. 8 15 feet , shad spawn is key , find a place were shad are near surface and use a medium diving crank bait . Fish are grouped together Black Bass ,White Bass , Yellow Bass all mixed together gouging on shad.

There is some around but the patches are few and far between.

Best bite today and yesterday on cranks in 1o to 12 feet. Draw down non existent today however shad spawn in full . Move around find them on electronics . Careful not to fish the bank as minimal fish there because continue draw down . Grass bite for me non existent . Crank baits have been great
