Oh what I'd pay to be there that day.
Best regards,

How much would u pay. I have several friends that served their country as a marine.
And not one of them keep reminding everyone of their service to this great country as one.
As said before JARHEaD thank you for your service and appreciate that service. May u find peace somewhere that gives you pleasure.
And that’s all I go to say about that.

Wolf, it wasn't just you that was letting this thread of a guy wanting a fishing licenses get out of hand. You now explained where you were going with your original post and sounds reasonable to me. Thanks for clearing it up.

The assumption that a few surmised what another was thinking or understood what they were trying to say is where it went to hell in a hand basket as the saying goes. IMHO.

Instead of degrading or pointing fingers, it would be courteous to ask what was meant instead of thinking their own version of what was meant.

From day 1 here on the stage the biggest problem has been the communication between the brain and the fingers on a large # of us. Sometimes what we are thinking just doesn't get written the way we hear it.

Hey plumbob I totally agree with you about the brain and the fingers I have to proof read everything I post or respond to 2 or 3 times because my hunt and peck on my iPad my fingers and my mind aren’t on the same page all the time, I sometimes leave out a word that needs to be there to make the sentence proper, including this response. For sure Larry about proof reading and even than the eyes go faster than the brain can take in and go right over.

hueey, we have around 35 or so here on the Stage. Most of us seldom mention this except to welcome another new member aboard if they indicate it somehow when they join us. Plumbob has been publishing military lists of Stage Members and soliciting for updates since I have been here, you can expect this to happen, I hope, once again around July 4th. Thanx Plumbob 🇺🇸.

Yes Maxx, on July 4th and Nov11th. New list both times with those that let me know the branch and dates of service.

I think I did not make my post clear as to what I was wanting to convey.
I have several close friends that served not only in the marines but in all branches of the service.several were pilots including helicopter. Several have medals for their above and beyond service.
I have never heard one of them bring up their service as Jar does in his posts
It’s like a vice for him to remind us of his sacrifice and I respect his service and hope he realizes this.
With that stated once again I thank him for his service and will thank him everytime he mentions it in his threads.
And that’s all I have to say about this.
Peace and tranquillity to all.

hueey, in my mind you were perfectly clear that out of all the FS members that served, Jarhead is the only one that continues to bring it up about himself and his brother. Granted others talk about it once in awhile, but no where near to the extent Jar does. Living with such anguish is clearly a sign that professional help may be needed whether he knows it or knot.

You mention for him that " May u find peace somewhere that gives you pleasure." That Peace may just be bringing it up here on the stage, however, I do not believe many on here are qualified to reach into his mind and find him comfort to let go or to deal with it that all those around him need not to be reminded too.

And that tough guy act when he gets all railed up is just a cry for help IMHO. When all is going well in his everyday life he can be a pleasant person and apologetic for his rants although the apology is short lived because it doesn't take much to set him off.

So many on here have been through a lot worse than he has been and some got through their years without seeing blood spilled. But for some they may be getting their thoughts unwillingly tossed back to a time we all would like to forget when reading Jar's reminders to us all.

So, If Jar is even going to read this getting Help would be a benefit for what little time you have left on this world and a benefit for us dealing with our own trials.

I have been following this thread from the get go and if there ever was a thread that needed a do over, this sure is one.

Assumptions and misunderstandings seem to have run a muck here. Even a little bit of un called for degrading attempted. Yep time for a do over.

👍👍👍👍👍👍
