A buddy of mine just got back from a trip down to Duck Valley, on the ID-NV border. The fishing spot is on tribal land, so in addition to a state license, you have to pay the tribe to fish there. OK, that's fair. Two years ago the fee was $15 for a day. Last year it went up to $18. Now, they want $25. Last I checked, I didn't get a 38.8 percent increase in my income this year. More like four. I also understand that the guy selling the permit got pretty arrogant when asked why the price went up so much. I wish them well, but they aren't getting any of my money from now on.
