Kangaroo lake is east of Weed and has really gotten busy with it being advertised in the bay area. We used to fish it and naybe see 5-6 others and now it can be as busy as no parkiong areas left.....

Beautiful mountain lake, worth the drive n always good fishing. Small lake n kayaks r allowed. Often u will c a bald eagle catch a trout when the lake is stocked up. They have a fish cleaning station, day use free picnic tables n small campground. Pm me if u go up there

Fall is the best time to go when vacation season is over n kids r in school.

Same for me so I go when I have 4-5 days off to make the drive worthwhile.

Thank You, trout are beautiful fish. I think sometimes location can have a factor in what shape the fish are in

I use a variety of baits. I almost never stick to one bait unless the fish won’t stop hitting it. Got fish on salmon eggs, night crawlers, power worm pink, and a dark red spoon.

Wow! Good catching PNW! I’ve done pretty good at Baum Lake myself. But it’s been a while.
