Mike do any of you fish on the Ohio River or the Kanawha. I just moved here about 6 months ago from the land of California so glad I'm here in West Virginia. I like fishing for catfish but I'm not opposed to throwing a few lures while I fish for catfish. I used to sauger fish and walleye fish with just weighted hair jigs. Do those still work in the Ohio?

I fish the Ohio River often especially Belleville and willow island dams. They are good for sauger and walleye and good for hybrid stripes. I fish the little kanawha a lot. But not the kanawha. And buck tail jigs will work but I have better luck with the soft plastics on a jig twister tail or paddle tails.
