Grand Ma. GIT TO THE TABLE!
My opinion is that farmers who hired day workers always fed the hands and it was usually a
large meal and was called dinner…lunch for me is a snack-type meal as maybe a sandwich.
Now retired both Dana and me eat a later breakfast/lunch and a bigger meal in the late afternoon
or early evening. Calling the first brunch and the later supper…
I read a study years ago that if you are in the diet mode to eat anything you wanted from early morning
and STOP eating at 4:00 pm.
The reason that it never caught on was it made no one any money so how could it work?

Cat 1) Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Cat 2) Breakfast, lunch and supper. or
Cat 3) Breakfast, dinner and supper.
Which category do you fall under?

I never was one for breakfast, but grew up with Cat 2 and only when going out to eat in the evening it would be Cat 1

I grew up breakfast lunch supper
Like Fred moved to breakfast lunch dinner.
Regular coffee here is cream two sugars. I heard the west coast regular is black coffee which makes more sense.
I grew up on the west coast and lived there until the early 80s. I always used cream and sugar in my coffee. I got to New York City and ordered a coffee at the ferry terminal. She asked if I wanted it regular. I agreed. I was shocked when she added a LOT of sugar and cream. I thought it was a good thing I drink it like that. That was the the first of many cultural eye openers I experienced between the west and east coasts.
