Dam those are nice. SAGUARO is know for the big bass. It's good to see somebody catch something other than YouTube people. I've been twice on my lil boat and have caught nothing.......help a guy out what spots did you hit? I know ow you said 25ft deep diving crankbaits but where are the fish at????? I don't have a fish finder yet.

I'm just learning too but a fish finder is pretty important. The bass are moving around. I have the lowest end fish finder but without it I wouldn't stand a chance. Im seriously considering upgrading mine but havent done enough research yet. The bass have been in pre-spawn so the good sized bass are still deeper and moving every day. They haven't moved up on their beds. The beds are shallow and you can find some fish in these areas but smaller ones. People tell me the spawn starts once the water temp is 65 degrees or warmer. I went to the same spots I caught them originally and caught zip. They weren't there.

Are you pretty familiar with the lake? If so I'll send you to that spot but they moved and I can't find them either.

In between Saguaro Cove 1 and 2 there is a point. This is past shipwreck rock and before Kings beach. At the tip of that point it's 55 ft deep on one side and the other side has a gentle sloping bank. Right along that gental slope between 20 and 25 feet is where they were but they arent there now. Ive been searching for them again but havent found em. You want the crank bait bumping the bottom during retrieve. Cast horizontally so your crank stays in that zone.

Another tip...watch where others boats are. Watch them while fishing. If anyone is catching ask them what they are using. Take note and go there another day.

Awesome! I have been having the worse luck there since fall 2022. Maybe 4 total in 10 trips :(

That's pretty much my record there too. I went 15 times over a month and most of those were goose eggs or 1 dink. I love the lake though and it's been great learning.

If you go at dawn it's still OK through about 11am. 11 to 4 was a zoo yesterday. Monday - Thursday works.
