Where to fish and what's biting?
Boat, bank, stream or lake?. Now is a great time to fish in SOWEGA. Provide more info on your preferences/:equipment
No boat. But have plans to purchase one in the near future.
Ok, bank access below the GA power dam is a good place to start. Veterans State Park in Cordele has a couple of fishing piers worth trying. Boat ramps on the Fliny River above and below Albany provide some access points. The State Parks on Lake George (Eufaulla) have access also. The causeway between Eufaulla and Georgetown is worth a try but the walking on the riprap may be difficult in places. A boat opens up a lot of options. March and April are great months to fish there. Crappie, bass, catfish and bluegill are biteing. Go to the Albany office of WRD on Newton Road and talk with the Fisheries Biologist there for more information.
