LOL, Yep. Only thing wrong with the movie IMO was Hanoi Jane in it.

I have often wondered why Donald Sutherland did not get the same kind of treatment as Jane since he was there with her?

Never like the spun glass. Always made me itch, like trying to use fiberglass insulation.

remember "itchy powder"? Spun glass, same thing. Never get away with selling that product in these times. I recall dumping a whole vile down a girl's back cause she put some down my best friend's back. Brought her to tears; to this day I still feel badly about it. My reaction was spontaneous and regrettable, but you don't pick on a guy's best friend.
And, I too, remember when the peacock was black and white.

Yes, all but the chocks vitamins got me too. We used aluminum tinsel instead of angel hair. Today's cellophane is awful but last time i checked on internet old boxed aluminum tinsel was $25/box, And back then we threw it intro the garbage when disposing of the tree.

Nah, tinsel is still around, and just for a buck or two. We stocked up one year on an after Christmas sale and bought about twenty boxes. Our tree gets tinsel every year; it's the only part of decorating the tree I partake. My daughter and I, and, yep, one stand at a time. Tradition!

I once put some in the sleeping bags of my sister's slumber party. I thought it was funny as ####.

We quit using tinsel when they went to the plastic stuff instead of the lead foil.

We quit because I got tired of pulling it out of the cat’s butt.

If I remember correctly Hanoi Jane shook hands with a prisoner who palmed her a note. Then Jane handed the note to the Vietnamese that were holding the prisoners. Sutherland didn't do that as far as I remember. Please feel free to correct me if I got this wrong. I'm 72 and don't remember things like I use too. I do remember Capt. Kangaroo but my joints don't hurt anytime, thank God. I'm sure my time is coming.
