Welcome to the stage, and I would bet that they do. Even a small puddle has 'bluegill's'. How big and how many is so different from lake to lake. Our basin is 75 miles long and over 15 miles wide and in one of the small lakes there, I will catch 5 smaller or so to every Crappie that is over 3/4 pd. Good luck
If you have ducks and geese who use it, there will be panfish!
Avocado Lake is in Fresno county I just left there yesterday and got skunked I use trout bait I use worms I fished at the top & bottom. They planted fish 2-18 to 24 of march. I I guess Lake avocado is all fished out or the ducks eat all the fish Lol

California plant schedule says next trout plant is 3/10 to 3/16 for this lake. Never fished there but I would try rainbow power bait myself.
I tried power bait my friend no luck
You're welcome my friend what part of California are you from and what lakes do you fish in
I sometimes fish Lake Perris, a small lake not far from my home. My two favorites are Lake Powell, usually take a five day trip around the second week of May, the other is fishing offshore out of Oceanside ca, my favorite there is mako, and thresher shark, but will fish for whatever is hot at the time.

Try it again a few days after the next plant. Also try mousetails.
