We had a good day on the river today my buddy got his biggest fish ever.
It was a battle for him he snagged it on the dorsal fin and gave him quite the fight. That booger must have weighed 25 or 30 lbs. we didn’t have a net so I got it under the gill plate and took a shower doing so. We also got our limits of sauger. Got all of the fish on 1/4 oz jigs with 3” mister twister grubs. Color was watermelon seed. The water was dingy and the sauger seem to want the dark color instead of chartreuse or white. Some of the sauger was really colorful.

Unless these old eyes deceive me the bucket looks red. Now my excitement grows as there are two different colors of meal holders red and green. Great pics and catch Mike. Congratulations to your buddy on removing that carp too. That would have anyone’s heart pumpin’. Just by the way, the white and yellow buckets just aren’t as attractive to me.🤣🤣🤣
