Betts I've noticed that I get glare since my eye surgery also. I just wear sunglasses more. My eyes were always very sensitive, and the cataracts actually block some some light from coming through. No cataract, no blockage, normal light passage.

Good morning to all. Cloudy this morning with 59* and a high of 63. Rain coming in later. This was originally a fishing day, but J has to work. Probably end up in the garden planting o eas if they have sprouted. Have a nice day.

Sunglassses do help!

Thanks, Bob. The procedure was nothing - easy, painless and not at all stressful (the Valium might’ve helped with that last part, lol). Recovery was easy, too. For me, I was horribly nearsighted with high astigmatism, so that might be why it’s been hard. I’m going to try having new, digital eyeglass lenses made with a wider field of vision. That might help.

Thanks Betts. The Juice had hers done 2 years ago and said he could have numbed it a little better. Not so much pain wise, but seemed like more pressure ( whatever that means ) than when she had her other eye done.

I like the Valium reference. Wonder if I could pre med myself.

Maybe you could kickstart the Valium with Butch’s breakfast special. 😅

Hey Doug I tried to send you a video but couldn’t get it to load. Went to the pond here on the farm yesterday and the peepers were singing in all their glory. Music to the ears.

I heard some faint sounds in the distant when I got home. I'm not banking on them yet!!

With the pilothouse on the tractor forks and moved into position, I rigged a double line come-a-long for the lifting. I moved the boat into position and made a trial lift. Unfortunately with 10' of scaffolding I wasn't able to get the house high enough to clear the motors with the length of the come-a-long in the way. I was able to re-rig with another single line pull and keep the ratchet below the lift point. This should give me another 14" of vertical lift to clear everything. I guess tomorrow is another day since its dark now.... back to the drywall mud!!

I didn't know you had a Kubota Doug. I had a BX 22 with a backhoe attachment when I lived in NC. That machine paid for itself with the projects I picked up. Loved plowing snow with too.

Good night morning crew. Time to lower the sails, go below deck, fluff the bunk pillow and rest to the sway of the boat from an evening of settling seas.

Sleep well my friends, Lord willing we will do it again in the morning.

Wait a minute... plowing snow in NC??

My old B2150 has been a very useful piece of equipment. I've got a New Holland skid loader too but always go to the Kubota first.

Good Monday morning fin followers. It's National Pound Cake day! I was just thinking about a nice moist orange pound cake with a thick white glaze drizzled on top. Oh, yum 😋

It's 46° now but headed for 63° with sunshine. Woo-hoo! I'll be working outside today on gas meter setups. What more could a guy ask for? Oh, maybe I could be in the boat fishing??
Yea right.. someone still thinks I should go to work instead...

The teacher asked the class to write an essay about an unusual event that happened during the past week. Little Johnny got up to read his. It began, "My daddy fell in a well last week." "Good grief!" the teacher exclaimed. "Is he OK?"
"He must be," said Little Johnny.
"He stopped calling for help yesterday!

Have a great day folks, stay away from the well!!
